The STILL Hire System:

Frequently Asked Forklift Rental Questions

What does STILL's hire fleet include?

STILL UK offers you a huge selection of 50 different product types. Over 1,500 forklift hire trucks are available.
We offer Electric, diesel or LPG counterbalance forklift trucks, warehouse trucks, reach trucks or order pickers and tow tractors: We've got what you need! See for yourself: Attachments such as fork spreaders, special forks, clamps or double pallet handlers are available on request.

Where can I hire?

We are there for you. Our experienced hire controllers are happy to advise you. We can find the right hire truck and we deliver our hire trucks all across the UK. View STILL UK rental coordinators.

How flexible can the rental be?

STILL can offer forklift hire trucks for flexible periods, whether that's for days, weeks or months.
Whether you have a requirement for just a short term or you need it ongoing: You can rely on our hire service.

How should the forklift hire truck be insured?

You are required to provide sufficient liability insurance cover for each rental vehicle. In addition, you must insure the rental vehicle against fire and theft. You are free to take out machinery breakage insurance with an insurance provider of your choice. If this creates an issue please ask us for alternative solutions. More information on this subject can be found in the Terms and Conditions.

When will I receive an invoice?

You will receive the (first) invoice for the hire directly after the start of the rental period. Should the hire period cover several months, an invoice will be sent to you automatically each month. After the hire truck has been returned, STILL will assess the return condition of the truck – the final rental invoice will be created or an adjustment will be made if the truck returns early.

Will the vehicle be delivered or do I have to collect it myself?

The most common solution is that STILL delivers the truck for you, directly to the place of use. There is a cost associated with this service. Please use our tool to calculate this cost. However, you can also collect the rental equipment yourself, or have it collected by a 3rd party logistics company.

How do I receive a rental agreement?

After determining your exact requirements, you will receive a draft rental contract, which you sign and return to STILL. Together with our Terms and Conditionsthe signed document will become your hire agreement.

What happens if the equipment is damaged?

You are liable for all damages not due to fair wear and tear and obliged to report any damage immediately to STILL. You will be charged by STILL for this damage within the scope of our Terms and Conditions. It does not matter how damage is caused: The damage will be repaired quickly by STILL to keep your operation running.

Service and insurance – What should I bear in mind?

STILL's hire fleet guarantees efficient use using the newest technology. Your rental includes service and maintenance. Damage is excluded. For an exact description please see our Terms and Conditions.
